A traditional gaiwan is a great way to steep tea in the Chinese style but let's face it, we Americans didn't grow up learning to use a normal gaiwan. It can take a bit of practice to master a spill-free pour from a gaiwan. That's why we love this gaiwan with a pouring spout. We're not exactly sure what the correct Chinese name for this item is so we just call it a Pouring Gaiwan. It's about the same capacity as our other gaiwan (about 4 oz.). Hand-crafted with a mottled green glaze that we think quite attractive.
